Christmas present ;-)

Gosh...... it really has been far too long since my last blog post. Time just seems to have flown by this year and, from what other people are saying too, it really does feel that 2009 has passed by in a bit of a blur. Which is interesting really, given how so many people at the start of the year were almost wishing it away before it had even begun. With so much negative news being reported back in January I think lots of people were focusing on just getting to the end and surviving 2009. Perhaps there really is something to be said for group consciousness ;-)

This all serves as a great reminder for me though about the value of being 'present'. We're all familiar with the story 'A Christmas Carol', and with the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. Yet all too often we manage to take ourselves into the future, or back to the past, with our emotions and habits of thinking. And when we do this we lose our peace of mind, our ability to connect authentically and our natural sense of calm and well being.

So why not give yourself and your loved ones a true gift this Christmas......the gift of being fully Present. No longer distracted by whatever else is going on. Not daydreaming or worrying about the future. Not even reminiscing or regretting the past. Just simply being.... present and attentive.... and enjoying the moment.

Wishing you a wonderful, peaceful and joyful Christmas!
And many special present moments ;-)
